This year’s Easter lunch was supposed to be different. Filled with family, shared full bellies and crumpled chocolate wrappers. But a last-minute cancellation of the festivities left me dreaming of creating something magical of my own.
With a 4 day weekend at home, I went for a walk on Friday morning. Spotting this picnic table in Studly Park.
Hidden between huge leafy trees - inspiration struck.
A picnic in the park for Easter Lunch with the one I love.
I made a trip to South Melbourne Market, Spotlight and Vinnies before packing the beach trolley with all my goodies to set the picnic table with homemade sandwhiches and choccies (melting by the second), all under the most perfect weather.
