Winter in Byron Bay

Being a wildly popular holiday destination, have you ever thought to visit Byron Bay and the hinterland just with the locals?
Visiting off-peak is so much easier and just as beautiful with blue sky days and cooler evenings.

Here is an exclusive sneak peek behind my trip to the stunning Glenfernie Farm, overlooking the mountains just 20 minutes outside of town.

I took full advantage of the verandah overlooking and hosted an intimate dinner for two under candlelight.
We headed to the local florist in Bangalow which is an absolute dreamy space and never disappoints.
The staff giggled as I explained that “I’m buying flowers for home, but actually staying in a local airbnb”.

osso buco ragu

With fresh bread to start the evening and a bottle of our favourite sangiovese, we settled in while the ragu simmered in the oven.
